Public Relations Office Opened

Gishorne's new public Relations Office in Derby Street was formally opened by the Mayor, Mr H. H. Barker, at a short ceremony recently.

Although in the nature of temporary premises, the office has been comfortably renovated and equipped by members of Greater Gisborne Inc., and provides reasonable facilities for the present for the Public Relations Officer, Mr David Clarke, and his assistant, Mrs Patricia Allison.

After some introductory remarks the president of Greater Gisborne (Mr Hugh Bodle) handed the key to Mr Barker, who wished the project well before turning the key in the lock.
