Top Dog

Gisborne always seems to have more than its share of national supremacy in the greater New Zealand scene. It can lay claim to the Dominion's top rifleman (see pix elsewhere in this issue), and in the past year or two the best woman bowler, the best archer, and the best in a number of other fields. On this page is New Zealand's top dog, Reg Mullooly's Paul. With his master, Paul can handle sheep better than any other dog in the Dominion. Pictures on these pages were taken at the Waimata Dog Trials, held earlier this month in the Waimata valley.
