At Useful Tasks

Everyone is familiar with the problems of education for intellectually handicapped children, who have a special school in Kahutia Street, but not so many know what happens to these children when they leave school. The pictures on this page show some of the useful tasks these young men and women can do with credit to themselves and their tutor, Mrs R. L. Thompson. They work at these jobs every day at the 2.Nzef rooms in Palmerston Road, and if anybody in Gisborne is happy at his work, these young people are.
