Candle-Lighting Ceremony

There are many organisations throughout the world which are truly international, such as Rotary, with aims which include peace between the nations. Not the least of these is the International Federation of Business and Professional Women, which has 300,000 members in many lands.

Every year the Gisborne Club holds a candle-lighting ceremony in which each candle is a symbol of unity with members in other countries, and of the common aim of peace and progress. These pictures were taken at this year's ceremony, held in Pine View.
