Exhibition Golf

Spectators were treated to a fine display of golf last month, when Irishman Jimmy Parkinson played N. Z. professional title holder, E. A. Southerden of Napier, in an exhibition match.

Parkinson, who was recently appointed the P. B. Club's professional, was playing his first match in New Zealand. Although only 26 years of age, he is by no means inexperienced, having been in the "pro" ranks since 1949.
