Electricians Confer

Beautiful Gisborne weather favoured the annual conference of the New Zealand Institute of Electricians, held here this month. Conferences were held in the War Memorial Hall, where a welcome was extended by the Mayor, Mr Barker, and notable addresses were given by Mr E. W. Matthewson, District Engineer N. Z. Electricity Dept., Mr F. Matthewson, chief engineer of the P. B. Power Board, Mr Martin Smith, founder of the Institute, Mr H. D. Boddington, Gisborne, Dominion president, and Mrs Esme Tombleson, M.P.
