Famous Horsewoman

The world's leading horsewoman, Miss Pat Smythe, favoured Gisborne with a visit this month, and in bright sunshine drew to the Showgrounds a large and interested audience to see her in action. In the bright red coat of the British riding team, she jumped a perfect round on C. Matthews' Arakihi.

Miss Smythe also judged horse and pony competitions at meeting.
