Front cover for this issue features "Miss Gisborne 1961", otherwise Miss Joan Presland, who won the title at the Waikanae Beach contest during the holidays and subsequently represented Gisborne at the national beauty contest at Tauranga.

Back Cover. On our back cover we have attempted to reproduce one of Mr Peter Williams' paintings, "Summer Brilliance", which won a merit award in the last Kelliher Art Exhibition. The attempt, as artists familiar with the picture will realise, has captured only part of the full beauty of the painting.
