Poverty Bay Golf "Open"

A large and representative entry was received for the annual open championship tournament of the Poverty Bay Golf Club, held on the Awapuni links in good weather.

Frank Gordon, ex-Poverty Bay Club player, now resident in Hastings, won the open title and the Keiha Cup. In the final he beat R. F. Mackie, Waipukurau, 5 and 3.

Other winners were: Barrington Miller Cup tournament, D. W. Neilson, P.B.

Nick's Head Handicap tournament, E. J. Gordon, P.B.

Tuahine Handicap tournament, F. Tate, P.B.

Wainui Handicap tournament, R. E. Lunn, Morrinsville.

Waipaoa Handicap tournament, I. R. Adair, Gisborne Park.
