Race Record Broken

Kevin Mulr, one of the Gisborne Cycling Club's junior members, and also one of its most promising vourg riders, broke the record on a recent Saturday for the gruelling race from Kaiti to Pouawa and return. Kevin clocked 62min 16sec, which is six seconds better than the record of 62min 22sec held by Alan Bright. The race has a mass start and is run on a sealed handicap.

Tatapouri hill has separated the men from the boys, and Davidson, Robinson and Muir are now well in the lead.
