Newman--Simperingham. At Methodist Church, Kaitaia, Grace, daughter of Mr E. C. Simperingham, Awanui, Northland, to Raymond, son of Mr and Mrs I. H. Newman, "Homebush" Waipaoa, The attendants were Fay Simperingham, Joy Simperingham, Awanui, sisters of the bride, Mac Trafford, Te Karaka, Graeme Newman (best, man) brother of the groom, Pam Harrison (chief maid) Gisborne, and Ivan Blair, Gisborne. The future home of the couple will be Morrinsville.

Skerman---De Lautour. At St. Paul's Anglican Church, Wairoa, Gabrielle, only daughter of Mr and Mrs H. M. B. de Lautour, 'Opouiti' Wairoa, to James Martin, son of Mr and Mrs L. T. Skerman Te Awamutu. The attendants were Jennifer Murphy (chief maid) Hawkes Bay, Darea Sherratt, Hawkes Bay, Jennifer Blundell, Wellington, The four flowergirls were Angela Gibbs, Auckland,. Ann Seymour, Gisborne, Sally Green, Dannevirke, and Jane Seymour, Gisborne, all cousins of the bride.
