Riding Holidays at Okitu

During the school holidays, Mrs John Tomb and Miss Winifred Lysnar conducted another of their popular Riding Holidays at Okitu, overlooking Wainui Beach. As well as the fun and thrills of a holiday with a horse, the young people who attend are also taught how to ride and care for their mounts. Others, who bring their own horses, gain further experience. There is accommodation for 12, and several others can come each day. The house is run like a Guide or Scout camp, where each one takes a share of the day's jobs.
