Swimmers and Skylarkers

A varied programme is always assured when pupils of Gisborne Girls' High School hold their annual swimming sports. Not only are spectators treated to some high-standard swimming. They also get a good measure of fun from burlesque items staged by the senior girls. And this year they also got a diving demonstration by N.Z. junior champion Lesley Clapham. If our pictures of this year's sports tend to emphasise the lighter side, there is no intention to detract from the many fine performances put up by the school's swimming stars.
