Endurance Test

There were nine entrants this year for the Singer Trophy endurance test in the harbour basin. The entrants are required to wear long—sleeved garments.

J. McLean was second and R. O'Brien was third.

The winner was Recce Carmichael, who is seen, right, receiving the trophy from the president of the Royal Life-Saving Society, Gis-borne branch, Mr A. H. de Costa.
