Presentations Made

To mark the retirement of Mr F. R. Ball from the chairmanship of the Poverty Bay Electric Power Board after occupying that position for 35 years, from the inception of the Board up to the local body elections last year, a social gathering was held at which his successor in office, Mr A. B. C. Steele, made a presentation to Mr and Mrs Ball of a silver tea and coffee service.

Warm tributes were paid by speakers at the gathering to the special attributes which Mr Ball had brought to the office, while Mr W. S. N. Rennie, of Wanganui, president of the Electric Supply Authorities Association, praised Mr Ball's work as his predecessor in this office.
