At The Cut

Swimming in "the cut", or the lower reaches of the Turanganui River, has been prohibited by the Gisborne Harbour Board, and the area has been made available for water-ski enthusiasts instead. The area is not safe for bathing, and it now provides a venue for an exciting new sport, and an attraction for sightseers.
