Big Race Here Next Month
New Zealand's premier yachting trophy, the Moffat Cup, is to be contested here next month, in a series of races lasting several days.
It will he the first big national contest to be conducted by the Gisborne Yacht Club.
Near-record entries have been received, and given good weather a successful contest is assured.
A strong contender for the cup will be Tony Bonica's boat, which is one of the fastest in the country. Camera caught it here without foresail filled, sailing off the wind.

There was a spanking southerly and a choppy swell.
