Happy New Year

With traditional high spirits, a big crowd assembled round the clock in Gladstone Road to see the Old Year out and the New Year in.

According to some experts, we are all due for a good time in 1960, for which forecasts of exceptional prosperity have been made. We hope the forecasts are true. One thing seems certain--taxes can be expected to ease off with the approach of the November elections, and that will be something to sing about, won't it?
