The Boat Show
Gisborne's second Boat Show was, like the first, an outstanding success, and served to focus the attention of the district on its undoubted advantages as a boating centre, as well as raise funds for the continued expansion of the Yacht Club. Starting with a parade through the town, the show followed on in the Army Hall for three nights. Besides a splendid display of all types of craft, the public saw a variety of other entertainment, including a number of mannequin parades.
On display was the club's new "pick-up" boat, illustrated elsewhere in this issue.

A Ferris Wheel makes an unusual pattern of light in this night shot taken outside the Army Hall on the opening night.
Approximately 5000 people attended the show, and the expected net profit of about £500 should enable the club to launch the new pick-up boat debt-free.
