"Gisborne Photo News"

Contest For The

The "Photo News" contest to find the district's most attractive young ballroom girl, judged on photographs published over the past few months in this magazine, concluded in our last issue.

The judges, Mrs H. H. Barker, Mayoress of Gisborne, Mrs Pat Woodford, producer of "Oklahoma" and a number of other Gisborne Operatic Society stage shows, and Mr R. Logan, editor of "Photo News", were unanimous in their selection of Miss Stevens as the winner.

Jennifer, who is a typiste-clerk in the city, lives at 6, Moana Road, Wainui Beach, Gisborne.

"Photo News" extends its congratulations to Miss Stevens, and its appreciation to all those girls who entered the contest. Several among them were very close contenders for the final honour.

Jennifer, lucky girl, wins a cheque from "Photo News", a presentation dress from "Seventeen" (in which she will appear next issue in colour), and gifts from Charlie Adair Lt., Kandid Kamera Kraft, Harris Bros. Shoe Store, Lillies Ltd., Geddes & Murray Ltd., Rainbow Fashions, "Phyllis Lee" Lingerie Salon, Columbine Hosiery, Adair Brothers Ltd., Pennie Hills, Ltd., Gisborne Leatheries Ltd., Billies Beauty Salon.
