From Fleece to Fashion

The New Zealand Wool Board's novel fashion parade, entitled "Fleece to Fashion", was a big hit with all who saw it at Adairs store last month. The parade started with a demonstration of shearing by world champion Godfrey Bowen, who showed just how the wool should be taken from the sheep, When he had finished, the mannequins took the stage to show a wide variety of woollen fashion apparel, ranging from sweaters to glamorous evening gowns.

But this was an eye-opener—Denise of Auckland, one of the mannequins, shows what the finished product is like. Here she wears Hit Parader slacks with White Fisherknit jersey.
