Gay Costumes at Arts Ball

Gisborne's Arts Ball, held this month in the War Memorial Hall. produced a high standard of costuming. The hall was a scene of gaiety as the dancers tripped the light fantastic in their varied garb.

The ball was organised by the Gisborne Ballet Group. A floor show presented by some of Gisborne's stock agents was the hit of the evening.

Regret was expressed that no talent scouts were present from Sadlers Wells or the Ballet Russe, as these hot numbers from the stockyards would most certainly have been on the way to higher things. We're informed they are, left to right, Joe Plimmer, Bill Webb, Barry Gordon, Tony Bain (?) and Tony Eastgate.
