First colour cover for Gisborne Photo News is a shot taken at Makarori Beach last summer, when the sky was darkening with the approach of a storm. All colour work is carried out at our factory in Aberdeen Road and is still in the experimental stages, so that we are bound to ask readers not to judge our early efforts too harshly if the colours are not always what they should be.
