Among recent changes in the Gisborne Police Force have been promotions and transfers affecting these officers.
At left is Constable D. Gray, who is on transfer to Whakatane. Second from left is Sergeant F. D. Huckstep, who has been promoted to senior-sergeant and is on transfer to Auckland.
Next is Senior-Sergeant D. M. Campbell, who has been promoted to inspector and has transferred to Auckland.
At right is the of-ficer-in-charge of the Gisborne police district, Inspector A. D. Buchanan, who has been promoted to chief inspector.

Mrs Isabella Ford, of Ormond, who recently celebrated her 100th birthday.
Mrs Ford was in the news last year, when at the age of 99 she earned the distinction of being the oldest passenger ever carried by N.A.C.

Mr and Mrs C. Cockburn, who are now residents of Te Puia, Colin has for many years been prominent in athletic and hockey circles, both as a competitor and as an administrator.
