Wedding Bells

Tautau-henry. At the Church of the Resurrection, Cook Street, Sally Henry was mar-ried recently to Autry Tautau. The bride was the first girl to be married from Heni Materoa Children's Home, where most of her life has been spent. She entered: the home at the age of eight, and on leaving school continued to live and wrk there. The couple were given a reception at the home by the president, Mrs J. B. Williams, and the committee, assisted by the Matron, Mrs Diamond.

Mataira-karaka. Maori families known and respected throughout the Poverty Bay-East Coast districts were joined when Mary Ann, third youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs N. Karaka, Te Araroa, was married to Morris Hifca, youngest son or the Rev. Wi Pere Mataira, Manutuke, and the late Mrs Mataira. The wedding took place at Tokotoru Tapu Church, Manutuke.
