Aussie Bowlers' visit

The traditional warm welcome of Gisborne bowlers was extended last month to the visiting Australian bowling team. Friendly games were played at the Gisborne Club, and the social welcome functions were held at the Poverty Bay Club. At the latter club a huge "welcome" sign in full colour, painted (and donated).

The Aussie bowlers took away happy memories of their stay in Gisborne. These pictures, taken at the Gisborne Bowling Club's greens during the Saturday games, show a number of the visitors in company with well-known Gisborne bowlers.
