The new Wigan bridge being built across the Mangaheia River about seven miles along the Tauwhareparae Road west of Tolaga Bay. Estimated originally to cost about £18,000, the Uawa County Council has now given authority for the price to be increased to £22,068, following Ministry of Works modifications to the design.
