Mr R. A. Keeling, Member for Gisborne, recently spent a holiday in Australia with Mrs Keeling and their two sons, Julian and Rex. One of their points of call was the township of Gisborne in Victoria, about 60 miles from Melbourne. In the picture at left, Mr and Mrs Keeling are seen by the sign indicating their approach to their home town's namesake.

Picture from Bob Hepburn was taken near Kopuawhara during a traverse by car of the old coast road from the top of the Whareratas to Opoutama. Travellers reported that the road was reasonable but required care at many points.
