Gisborne's newest fire engine, seen above and at left during the latest development in fire fighting to the city. It can produce high pressure "fog" up to 500-600 lbs per sq. inch. The fog is most efficient in enclosed spaces, and saves much of the damage previously caused by the use of water. A Karrier Gamecock; it can reach 40 mph in 17sec. from a standing start. Built of light alloy and fibreglass, the machine is much lighter than the usual fire engine.
