Tennis Champions

Highlight of the visit of topranking Australian and New Zealand tennis players to Gisborne last month was a match between Australia's Davis Cup player, Martin Mulligan, and Alan Burns, of Auckland.

Mulligan won the match 3-6, 6-2, 6-2.

Australia's No.2 woman player, Miss J. Lehane, was also seen in a match with Miss A. Smith (Waikato). Miss Lehane won 6-1. 6-0.
