Yachts in the Bay

Yachts from Whakatane, Opotiki, Napier, and Wairoa were among the forty craft which competed at the Anniversary Weekend regatta organised by the Gisborne Yacht Club,

Hulidaymakers on the Gisborne beaches during the weekend were enamoured by the sight of so many graceful sailing craft in the bay and the occasion served to drive home to the public the growing popularity which yachting is enjoying in Gisborne.
