Rock'n' Roll Idol

Teenagers in Gisborne are still talking about the time last December when Johnny Devlin hit town.

And who's johnny Devlin, their elders might ask.

He's a young man from Wanganui with a talent for rock'n' roll singing. Be was in Gisborne on a Kerridge-sponsored tour of impressively-successful proportions. Sales of his records are way out in front of those of any other N. Z. artist. He's in the £5000-a-year class at the Inland Revenue Department.

All this has come Johnny Devlin's way in a few short months. Soon he hopes to head for Australia and Britain looking for fame and fortune.
