International Citizen

Men who grow tired of the bickering on this earth, and long for the day when all nations are one, are no doubt numerous on this troubled planet. But men who take the plunge, renounce their nationality, and declare themselves citizens of the world, are few and far between.

Such a one is George Dibbern, who sailed into Gisborne in his 32ft yacht Te Rapunga last December.

The disadvantage of being a citizen of all nations is that a man has a home with no nation, and so George's home is his yacht, in which he has roamed the world for many a long year.

After a couple of weeks here, George sailed for Tauranga and points beyond.
