Parade of Homes

Good progress is also being made with the erection of Gisborne's latest State Housing project at the Fitzgerald Block. The site is a most favoured one, lying to the north. Photographs show two lines of houses approaching the completion stages. At foot of page, a panoramic view from rising ground near Kaiti Hill shows the vast extent of the Fitzgerald Block. The first of the State house construction appears at left.

A start has been made by builders with the construction of Gisborne's first "Parade of Homes". The site is on nine sections fronting a formed street in the Fitzgerald block at Kaiti. Picture shows the first of the 9 homes in the parade to reach the roofing stage.
The homes, which are in three price groups, will be temporarily furnished for the parade, and are to be ready for public inspection towards the end of May.
