Boys' Brigade Welcome Visitor

1958 has been a big year for the Boys' Brigade throughout the world, with both past and present members of the movement celebrating their 75th anniversary.

The climax for Gisborne Boys' Brigade companies came last month, when they received a visit from Mr S. E. Barnes, O.B.E., of London, training secretary for the U.K., who was engaged on a New Zealand wide tour.

To mark the 75th anniversary of the Boys' Brigade and the visit of Mr Barnes, he was asked to perform the unveiling ceremony of a specially built open air fireplace at Waihirere Domain.

Mr Barnes also officially opened this new hut on the site of the Boys' Brigade camp at Rimanui. The new hut will, no doubt, get ample use over the coming holiday period.
