Victory over Bush
Poverty Bay exceeded all expectations In their win over Bush by twelve points to three.
With several of their regular players missing from the team and relatively untried newcomers filling their places, few had hopes of the locals obtaining such a decisive victory.
W. Atkins leaps high to collect a high ball from line out.
But they undoubtedly did it, as shown by the scoreboard and credit must go to coach and selector J. K. Clark for the moulding of such a fine body of players.
Lead by the ball boys, the two teams take the field (bush in dark striped jerseys).
