Dramatic Milestone ... or Literary Legpull?

That's the question most members of the audience asked of themselves after consorting for some three hours with these frightening characters in the R.S.A. Memorial Hall.

The occasion was the touring C.A.S. production of Samuel Beckett's astounding play "Waiting For Godot", a plotless, pointless association of two tramps, waiting interminably for a "Mr Godot", who doesn't turn up anyway.

Was the audience witnessing a new venture in drama, or were they party to one of the greatest legpulls in the history of theatre? The editor has quite an open mind on the subject. What do you think?

The two principal roles were played by Ronald Barker who is also producer and director of C.A.S.
