Beach Improvements
The Gisborne Domain Board, which is the City Council by another name, is now carrying out improvements to the beach frontages between Stanley Road and Grey Street. Along the beach in front of Churchill Park camp a double row of Norfolk pines is to be planted in protecting enclosures, shown above.
Between Grey Street and the beacon (left) the ground is to be levelled and a single row of pines planted. A Norfolk pine appears at left of picture.
