Catholic Presentation Ball

Sixteen Debutantes made their bow at the Catholic Presentation Ball in the War Memorial Hall this month. The ceremony, in which they were presented to the Most Reverend J. M. Liston, Catholic Bishop of Auckland, was beautifully staged, and the new hall made an ideal setting for the occasion.

Brosnahan, president of the Catholic Women's League, His Grace Archbishop Liston, the Mayor and Mayoress, Mr and Mrs H. H. Barker, and the Rev. Father Berridge. Speaking to his Grace is the Master of Ceremonies, Mr A. J. Sheehan, president of the Holy Name Society.
Debutantes and their escorts (below and on pages following) were photographed on the floor of the hall as they approached the stage.
