World Champ.

To have won an international archery contest for five years out of six, is an achievement which many a bowman would gladly swap for any other measure of fame or fortune. Such a record belongs to Mr W. J. (Jim) Burton, of Gisborne, seen here competing once again in the annual Seafab International Championship.

With typical modesty, Jim considers his record would not be so good if the contest included one or two of the world's other top archers who do not compete for Seafab. It would be interesting to see him matched with them.

Pictures show Mr Burton and other Gisborne archers during a Seafab shoot at Anzac Park this month.
