Queen Carnival

To raise funds for the installation of a filtration plant at Macrae Baths, a Queen Carnival was launched this month by the Macrae Baths Improvement Committee.

The carnival started with a procession of decorated floats, which on Queen's Birthday proceeded from Peel Street to Rugby Park, where the five queens were introduced to the public.
