The Bridge on the River Te Arai

Remember the day nearly three years ago when the Te Arai main highway bridge slowly collapsed into the mud?

This picture was taken then, just before the central span collapsed.

Now the bridge-builders are at work on a new structure down river, as shown in picture taken from the old bridge.
