Fantasy Fascinated Children

The story of "wish" and the "Golden Goose" is a fairytale to enchant any child. When the fairytale is made to take shape, and the shapes move, then the result is doubly fascinating, not only for children but for adults as well. Thousands of children derived enjoyment this month from the unique mechanical fantasy presented at Fetties Ltd by Mr Earland MacKay ("Pat") Patterson, of Palmerston North.

The astounding wealth of detail which Mr Patterson has built into his show is indicated by these photographs. What the pictures do not show, however, is the ingenious way in which almost all the characters are made to move, even to the birds in the trees.
