Tolaga Performers

Pupils of the Tolaga Bay District High School invaded Gisborne one day this month to give a most entertaining concert in the War Memorial Hall. When these pictures were taken during the matinee, the hall was packed to the doors.

The second half of the programme was devoted to Maori items.In the first half, the entertainment included (top to bottom, above and at left) a Hawaiian mumber, a skit on Elvis Presley, items by the school choir, and a colourful islands song and dance number Below, a closeup of two of the talented performers on the stage.
