New Guide Hall

The dedication of the Girl Guide Association's new hall at Gisborne was a notable event in the history of the movement, marking the completion of a long and sustained effort by members, supporters, and the associated hall committee.

The new hall in Palmerston Road, next to the St.John Ambulance Association hall. Beyond the guide hall are the Hard-of-Hearing rooms and the Women's Rest Room.

The Dominion Commissioner, Miss Ruth Herrick, O.B.E., leading the colour party to the hall.

Mr J. T. Hill, chairman of the hall committee, welcoming visitors. On either side of Mr Hill are Mrs Nugent, divisional commissioner, and Miss Herrick.
