Coming of age

A traditionally important personal milestone is the coming–of–age ceremony. Among Gisborne young people who celebrated this milestone recently were:

Miss Leah McCullough, daughter of Mr and Mrs R. McCullough, 122 Ormond Road.

Miss Pamela Wilson, daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Wilson, whose party was at Pine View.

Miss Sara Cameron, daughter of Mrs E. K. F. Cameron, Pouparae. Sara is nursing at Cook Hospital, and the party also celebrated her graduation and impending departure for Ashburton.

Miss Shirley Bright, only daughter of Mr and Mrs S. W. Bright, Makaraka.

Miss Ada Ingram, daughter of Mrs H. C. Ingram. Her party at the Mayfair was also the occasion for announcing her engagement to Mr T. Smith.

Miss Margaret Fanning, daughter of Mr and Mrs C. R. Fanning, 17 Karaka Street.
