Timber-r-r!

The property of Mr W. D. Cook at Eastwoodhill resounds these weekends with the crash of falling timber and the whine of chain saws. Not that the famous groves of Eastwoodhill are being felled. But Mr Cook has donated to Gisborne–E.C. Youth Hostel committee a block of trees from which to build their new hostel at Churchill Park beach, and the energetic members of this organisation are felling the trees themselves.
