Wedding Bells

Sewell-Gardiner. At St. Andrew's, Merle, daughter of Mr and Mrs R. K. Gardiner, Stout Street, to Bernard Malcolm, younger son of Mrs Sewell, Patutahi, and the late Mr T. W. Sewell.
The bridesmaid is Miss Leonore Gardiner, sister of the bride, and the best man is Mr D. Briant, Patutahi.
After a short holiday at Rotorua, the young couple left to make their home at the demonstration farm at Stratford.

Hope–Howell. At Holy Trinity Church, Beatrice, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs C. Howell, of Taruheru, to Harry Hope, youngest son of the late Mr and Mrs Hope (late of Gisborne). The attendants were Mr John McKay, Perry Street, Miss Janice Annabel, Winter Street, Leith Andrew, De Lautour Road, and Treve Howell, niece and sister of the bride, Mr Basil Howell, brother of the bride, who was best man, Miss Annette Moellor, New Plymouth, cousin of the bride, who was chief bridesmaid, and the flower girl, Lesley Hope, Ormond Road, niece of the bridegroom. Future home, Gisborne, where the bride is with N.A.C. and the bridegroom with Common Sheltons' office staff.
