Riverdale School Opened

For over a hundred Mangapapa children, the start of the school year was rather more special than usual, for they were the first pupils to attend a brand-new school.

The new Riverdale School, situated in upper Stout Street near the corner of Lytton Road, is the latest of the new suburban schools erected to cope with ever-increasing rolls.

The children found themselves attending a modern and airy school designed on the latest lines, set in spacious grounds.
