The Rev. J. Kingsley Fairbairn, B.A., M.B.E., of St. Andrew's Fresbyterian Church, who has left Gisborne to be minister of St. John's Presbyterian Church, Wellington.
Mr Fairbairn, seen here at the door of St. Andrew's extending his good wishes to a newly-married couple, has been minister of the local church for ten years. A graduate of Knox Theological College in Dunedin, Mr Fairbairn was awarded the M.B.E. for his work at Clydebank, in Glasgow, where he was stationed during the World War II blitz.

The Te Arai bridge at Manutuke is much the same now as it was after the collapse two years ago. Tenders for a new bridge have been called.
